About the Conference
Advancing Learning has been the province’s premiere instructional technology conference since the 1990s. It has included quality keynote addresses, presentation and workshop sessions, round table discussions, and vendor exhibits and presentations.
We’ve prided ourselves in fostering an environment where faculty can share their direct classroom experiences with other faculty. Where else can you learn first-hand from practicing educators about a host of topics related to educational technology, the internet, and student engagement? This grassroots approach really does help with advancing learning in Ontario.
In May 2014, Georgian College has the privilege of hosting the 20th edition of this conference. Our theme this year is "What could go right?". It's an encouragement to explore new ways of learning and teaching, to be open to new techniques, and to experiment with new educational technologies. We hope to bring you a wonderful and rich learning experience through our lineup of innovative speakers and exciting workshops.
