This year we concentrate on creativity in educational technology from multiple viewpoints.

Student
Creativity

Presenters in this track share experiences, plans, and findings in encouraging creativity among students to achieve learning outcomes and/or personal growth in online, blended or tech-enhanced face-to-face classes.

This might include learning activities engaging students in:

  • creative solution-seeking
  • creative expression
  • student-led learning design
  • immersive experiences requiring students to problem solve

Teacher
Creativity

Presenters in this track share practices, experiences, and/or findings in creative approaches to teaching in online, blended or tech-enhanced face-to-face classes.

Topics might include:

  • creative solutions to emerging challenges in the classroom
  • increasing student engagement through creative facilitation
  • new approaches to assessment
  • alternatives to traditional textbooks
  • creative approaches to maximizing efficiency in the face of resource constraints.

Design
Creativity

In this track, presenters share experiences, ideas, or research in the area of creatively designing learning experiences and environments in online, blended or tech-enhanced face-to-face classes.

Topics might include:

  • innovative instructional design
  • approaches to fostering creativity among faculty and staff in professional development design
  • experimental strategies for designing learning materials or spaces
  • ways of attending to aesthetic components in learning, innovative program design, etc.
  • creative approaches in designing, producing, attaining, or disseminating resources.
  • Open Educational Resources

Out of the
Box Track

Surprise us! Presenters in this track are out-of-the-box thinkers who cannot fit their presentations in any of the tracks.

Please feel free to mix tracks, combine ideas or offer more general discussions on the nature of creativity or what science says about creativity.
