Conference Program

This year our agenda offers a number of interactive and engaging workshops and sessions. You'll take home a number of innovative educational technology and learning methods to improve your teaching.

We also have activities available at our King Campus, located on 282 hectares of woods, lake and fields which include a 2 kilometer hike, indoor auto-belay climbing wall at Magna Hall, open gym, and access to island grounds.

Keynote Speakers

Annee Ngo, Co-founder and CEO

Annee Ngo is the co-founder and CEO of Startup League, an educational gaming platform for students to learn creative problem-solving through competition and play. A serial entrepreneur, she also founded and scaled global edtech company ProtoHack into more than 30 cities and 12 countries around the world, producing innovation challenges for clients like Stanford and Adobe. Annee is also the proud recipient of Women Tech Founders’ Award for Gaming/AR/VR and BC Business’ 30 Under 30.

Richard Booth, RN, MScN, PhD

Associate Professor, Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University

Richard Booth is an associate professor at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing (Western University) and a clinician researcher with an active research program exploring health informatics, human-technical relationships, and psychiatric-mental health nursing. Along with his current teaching and research requirements, he recently completed his Fellowship with the provincial Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), exploring the use of social media technology and its related impact on clinical and health systems utilization. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN).

Flex your technology muscles and participate in Advancing Learning 2020's exciting new pre-conference event: the Technology Takedown.

In this hands-on, full-day experience, you'll cooperate and compete to rethink course design in the context of online learning. Dare to experiment with technology tools to foster student engagement in online/hybrid courses. Participants may register individually or as teams of 4; individual registrants will be placed on a team at the event.

Bring your curiosity and leave with the skills to build in an online environment!

Registration is $25/person and will be open soon.
